The Movement Workers
Jess
Hi! I'm Jess and I'm in my second year of Movement Work for 5785/86!I grew up going to the Liberal Jewish Synagogue and went on my first LJY event when I was 12. I have loved LJY ever since; first as a chanicha (participant) and later as a leader (madricha). Before becoming a movement worker I led on lots of different events including Israel Tour in 2023 which was an incredible experience. I am so proud to be working for LJY-Nezter and I can't wait for another year of working for such an amazing movement and community!
This year I'm responsible for: Plaganim Sleepover, Bog Tour, Shamayim & Kadimah, Tour Taster Weekend, Jewish Festivals, Shira (singing), and more!

Saskia
Hi, I'm Saskia (Sas) the new Movement Worker for 5786. I am from Bristol and grew up going to Bristol and West Progressive. LJY came and ran a sleepover at my synagogue when I was 10 years old and I've been hooked since, attending every Kadimah, Shamayim, Veidah and even an LJY gap year on Shnat. LJY has enriched my life in more ways than I'll ever comprehend, and I'm so excited to be part of creating experiences that will inspire and enrich young people the way LJY did for me.
My responsibilities include: Shnat, Hadracha, Kinus and Social Action

Tali
Hey, I'm Tali, and I'm one of the LJY movement workers for 5785/86! I'm from Birmingham and grew up going to Birmingham Progressive Synagogue. I went on my first LJY event at 8 years old and have only become more of a keeno over the last 14 years, participating in camps, tours and Shnat gap year. I have loved being a madricha for lots of camps and events as well as Israel tour. I am so excited for a jam packed second movement work year and all the magic that comes with it.
This year I am responsible for Community outreach, Social media, Veidah, February Sleepover and Netivim (Israel Tour) among other things!
